Wowwww! Dr Oswari Thank YOu, Thank You, Thank YOu for sharing your Amazingly insightful & humble testimony ! It is such a deep pleasure to hear from you an MD , and how you found your way back to health reversing your Diabetes ! Your journey is an inspiration and I am So Happy for you and the many patients you are helping do the same!
I am also a living breathing example of one who struggled with elevated A1C. Several years ago my conventional Dr. stated I had to go on Metformin in order to control my elevated blood sugar and I was deeply upset because I believed I was a Very healthy eater! Loving my veggies , NOt a big sweet eater and loving my regular exercise routine I found myself perplexed with his diagnosis as well as the treatment protocol he felt was my only option.
As one who is also passionate about Health & Wellness and works in the field I truly felt there MUST be another alternative. So with a respectful decline of the Metformin script, I left stating I would not be filling the Metformin Rx until I exhausted my search for the
“Root” cause of my situation .
While I know I probably wasn’t his favorite patient of the day I am Soooo glad my Gut told me to stand strong! After exhaustive research I learned that despite NOT being a sweet eater, my intake of sugars / carbs were in fact the culprit! I learned my choice of yogurt & coffee creamer in the morning spiked my Glycemic Index during my very first meal of the day! That routine along with the remainder of Carbs I consumed throughout the day were in fact the “Root” cause sabotaging my health and no amount of exercise was going to fix it!
Several years later I am happy to report I am still medication free with my A1C very much under control and I am so happy to share my story with anyone who may find it helpful.
I often share Ralph Waldo Emerson’s wise quote :
“Our Health is our #1 Wealth “ as it reminds us that we must do all we can to help one another preserve the Most precious gift we have, our health!
Thank You Dr. Oswari , Chung Institute and Nutrition Network for your part in in that deeply important work!
Thanks & Peace, Janet Finnigan

Excellent interview. Dr. Oswari is an encouraging doctor who takes the time to listen. So grateful that he found this missing piece in his own recovery from diabetes. He has been quite a treasure for my husband in his journey with cholesterol and an upward creeping A1C. Dr. Oswari’s joy is priceless!
